Job description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Systems Administrator to join our team. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing our software, hardware, and networks. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure and system operations and will ensure our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and hardware.
  • Manage network servers and technology tools.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability.
  • Implement security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented systems and changes.
  • Collaborate with IT team members, developers, and other departments to identify and resolve issues.
  • Conduct regular audits of systems and software to ensure compliance with industry standards and security policies.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users and resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
  • Extensive experience with various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and MacOS.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and software.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and backup/recovery tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)) are a plus.
